The Golden Bridge

Obedience is the golden bridge to your miracle. All the blessings of God are conditioned with obedience. "...if thou shalt hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord thy God." ~Dr. Mike Murdock

Beanie, Baby

Pretty glad the beanie trend is kicking off at the moment! Not only do hats keep my bonce warm in this CHRONICALLY cold weather (it's totally unacceptable.) but they're also ideal on days when my hair is all over the place.

I worked from home today to edit the behind the scenes video footage I captured on the cover shoot for Company Mag's blogger issue! Can't wait for the issue to hit shelves next week, you're gonna love it!

Here's my chillaxed attire:

(Beanie - New Look, Bag & Jacket - charity shop, Skinnies - M&S, faux fur collar - H&M , boots- Sarenza*)

If you're in London this weekend, you should go and check out the eBay's pop-up store! For one weekend only, they're hosting a pop-up 'social shopping' experience in Covent Garden. Harnessing the influencing power of social media, eBay Social Shopping will bring together product recommendations from social networks including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with eBay’s own unrivalled search data, to provide a live pulse of what the nations really wants this Christmas with fashion, toys and technology zones.

The reason you may have spotted me using the #ebaysocialshopping hashtag on Instagram is that in the Fashion Zone of the pop-up, you will be able to  shop using our image recognition technology.  A live feed of Instagram images will be displayed on screen.  These images have been taken by some the UKs influential fashion names & bloggers and will include selection of their favourite winter fabric swatches. The eBay fashion app enables you to identify similar items & colour matches for these outfits from the eBay Fashion Gallery!

Anyway what's your chilly weather staple right now? Anyone else becoming surgically attached to beanies and faux fur collars?

Soggy Style

Eurgh, what a GROSS weekend, weather-wise!

Yesterday, Alex and I had high hopes of going for a mooch round  town but the weather was so horrendous, all we could handle was poking our heads in the nearest charity shop and a trip to Sainsbury's to buy Naan bread. FUN! I tell ya, I can't wait to move to London and have more entertainment options than 'go round town' or 'stay in'.

We also watched a film written/directed/starring Lena Dunham from Girls' called Tiny Furniture and concluded it was crud. Yeah, I'm bringin' the word 'crud' back. 'Naff' has been circulating the office recently and I'm loving it!

Here's what I wore for #townfail:

(Jacket & sweatshirt - charity shops, shirt - H&M, jeans and socks - New Look, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell at Sarenza*)

(Jeffrey Campbell at Sarenza*)

(A close-up of my new sweatshirt, one of my only recent charity shop finds!)

I also tweaked my blog header, adding a lovely illustration drawn by Carly Watts and tidying up the design a bit - do you like it? I was surprised by how easy I found it to do! My hours weeping over Photoshop at Uni were clearly not lost!

Onto a lovely night of pre-back-to-work chillaxing and HOMELAND! Anyone else in love with that show?! Definitely makes a Sunday night all the more bearable.

The Great Physician

Never forget that our Lord is the Master and Great Physician. When the doctor's say it's over, the Lord is just beginning. As it says in Isaiah 53: "By His wounds ye were healed." This is the prescription that heals you every time. Only believe. I've seen it in my own life. And even as you read this quote we are believing with you for the complete healing of your body right now in Jesus Mighty Name. ~Donnie Alexander

All Wrapped Up

I took yesterday off work as I've got lots of holiday to use up and it was GREAT! I finished a great book I've been reading (Never Google Heartbreak - out in March), mooched round town with Alex and watched lots of Parks and Recreation. Oh, and we went to ASDA which was about as fun as it sounds (Although Pop Tarts were on offer, which was a bonus!)

I also blogged about lots of awesome Black Friday discounts - some of which are still valid this weekend so get in there! I detest buying things at full price (in fact the only place I do this is probably Primark) so discount codes make me very happy.

Here's what I wore for yesterday for our wander into town...

I'm wearing a H&M tee and scarf, Uniqlo corduroy leggings, charity shop coat and Topshop hat. My boots are from Sarenza* and are by Vagabond. I've barely taken them off since I bought them, they're probably the comfiest heels I own!

I think I'm going to catch up on billions of blog posts today... I need some new blogspiration too - which blogs are you loving right now?

The Ways Out

Lord, there are tempations to sin everywhere. Help me not to give in. Make me sensitive to see the ways out that You provide. I want my love for You to be real and to encourage others in their faith journey. The best way to escape temptation is to run to God. ~David McCasland

Photo Diary #3

Some snippets of life of late...

On our anniversary weekend, Alex and I stayed at SACO in Canary Wharf - a mega amazing serviced apartment block! We've never been away for a weekend and had our own kitchen and sofa etc, so it really felt like a (way more luxurious) home from home!

We were on the 14th floor and we had views for miles around London from the balcony. It was Firework weekend so there was always at least 5 displays going on at any one time somewhere in the distance! Increds.

Brrr, it was super chilly in London! Wrapped right up in my new Crew Clothing jacket!

We went for lunch at The Diner - yum! I recommend the sweet potato fries - heavenly!

Then last weekend we were visiting family and testing out the free Banagrams game I got at work! It was so fun, if a little competitive... Alex told me off for claiming 'oh' and 'div' as proper words. THEY CLEARLY ARE.

A photobooth snap from the Company Fashion Awards I blogged about!

A little mirror snap of my outfit at work the other day. Imagine this with jeans and heeled boots on the bottom half. (Vintage shirt, Primark everything else)!

My super healthy lunch on Friday!

One of the perks of my job is sneak peeking unreleased books! I'm currently reading 'Don't Google Heartbreak' which is pretty funny so far...

Eating popcorn from our popcorn print bowl... Trippy, huh?

Am unnaturally fond of this teeny bottle of Nails Inc topcoat from the latest Glossybox*! Isn't it the cutest?

Got my hair cut on Saturday. Short fringe, short at the back, everything else left to grow out. Essentially, I'm the poor man's Amelie.

The tee I wore to work today! Cat central! It's a band tee of Alex's (the band are Kids Like Us).

These are my latest shoe faves! Am wearing them constantly! They are Vagabond Grace's from Sarenza* and are my first ever patent boots. They were so comfy right out of the box and are pleasantly bouncy so are just perfect for getting from A to B in the commuter rush. In fact I've just realised I'm still wearing them and I got in from work 2 hours ago... #mynewslippers!

Off to watch Girls now! Overly awkward shows do make me nervous but the series is definitely growing on me. Are you watching it?

He Guides the Humble

Psalm 25:9 reminds us that God "guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way."(NIV). If we have spirit of humility, we can be taught by God and be used to touch the lives of others. The place of humility is the place of power.

Gem Fatale in 'Still Alive' shocker!

HEY! Sorry I've been wiggedy-whack as a blogger lately. The lovely web ed at Company is off getting married and honeymooned so have had lots on my plate (and am not talking about food for a change!) It's all going really well but needless to say, time to blog is pretttty slim. Bear with me!

I'm moving to London in the new year so will defs have more time to blog then. I'm hoping to move to Angel (or surrounding) with Alex although everyone's telling me I won't be able to afford it. We went there at the weekend and it was soooo dreamy. May have to turn to light prostitution/dealing to afford it but would that be SO bad if it meant living somewhere so Instagrammable it hurts..?

Last night was the Company Fashion Awards 2012. It was my first big event as one of the Company team so it was pretty exciting! I wore this Topshop dress with Bertie boots*. My complexion* was borrowed on a one-night-only basis from Casper the ghost.

Ever the blogger, I took full advantage of all activities on offer. Namely enjoying the bar and frolicking in the photo booth!  The team put lots of fashiony accessories in the booth for added lulz.

(Beauty Intern Nat, Art Director Tanita, Junior Designer Leanne, Art Editor Jo Towell)

(Fashion Intern Ruby, Nat and Leanne)

(As above!)

Such a fun night :) I also managed to catch my train home with SECONDS to spare which was a treat! These things don't usually go in my favour, resulting in ugly, ugly tears.

Have been up to loads lately so will do a diary/Instagrammy type post next to get you up to speed with all things me me me! You've never known excitement quite like it, have you?!
